Payment for book orders

 

Private customers

Private customer orders placed through this website require payment by credit/debit card via PayPal. The PayPal buttons take you to the secure PayPal website to complete your payments. Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography does not record, or have access to your payment details.

 

University and Academic Libraries, Museums, Book Agents/Distributors, and other organizations

Institutions and organizations are required to pay for orders in advance. Pro-forma invoices can be paid pay by cheque (in UK Pounds Sterling, and drawn on a UK bank account), or by electronic bank transfer. Please contact Paolo Scremin at paolo@paolophotography.co.uk for further information. Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography does not record, or have access to your payment details.

 

Delivery times

Paolo Scremin will post your ordered goods (or arrange a courier to deliver your ordered goods) to the person and delivery address supplied at the time the order is placed. Delivery will be made as soon as possible after your order has been accepted and paid for. The 14-day delivery time-scale quoted on this website is an estimate only. Orders are usually processed and delivered in less time than this. However, you will be notified as soon as possible if a delay is likely in the processing and/or delivery of your order.

 

Customs and other charges

For goods delivered outside the EU, the consignee (i.e. the person to whom the ordered goods are sent) will be the declarant and importer into the country to which the goods are addressed. The consignee will be responsible for customs clearance and payment of customs duties and local taxes, if required.

 

It is possible that goods ordered for delivery outside the EU may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination. Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be borne by recipient. It is accepted by you that Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. It is recommended that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.

 

Right to cancel, book returns, and refunds

All customers purchasing online from Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography have a seven day 'cooling-off' period in which you can change your mind for any reason, cancel your order, and return the ordered goods. This seven day 'cooling-off' period commences the day after you receive the goods. Notification that you wish to cancel and return goods must be received in writing via email to paolo@paolophotography.co.uk, or by letter, addressed to Paolo Scremin (Returns), Paolo Photography, 21 Westlands Avenue, Shinfield, Reading, RG2 8EN, England. Remember to include your name, email address, invoice/receipt number, and the reason for cancelling your order.

 

When returning goods, please obtain proof of posting or send the goods via an insured method of shipping. It is recommended that you use a recorded delivery service as Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography cannot be responsible for non-delivery of returned items.

 

A refund will be issued by Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography within 30 days of receiving the returned goods in a like-new, resaleable condition. You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography will not refund the cost of the original postage, or the cost incurred by you returning the item to us. Shipping charges will not be refunded unless the item is damaged.

 

Damaged or faulty books

Damaged or faulty books may be returned for a replacement copy (where available) or a refund will be sent.

 

Contact Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography as soon as possible before returning any books, either by email to paolo@paolophotography.co.uk, or by letter addressed to Paolo Scremin (Returns), Paolo Photography, 21 Westlands Avenue, Shinfield, Reading, RG2 8EN, England. Remember to include your name, email address, invoice/receipt number, a description of the fault and, if possible, a photo of the damaged item and packaging.

 

Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography will refund any postage charges you incur in returning a damaged book. It is recommended that you contact the Paolo Scremin/Paolo Photography before returning any book, for advice concerning a suitable method of delivery.

Paolo Photography may change these Terms & Conditions from time to time by updating this page and you are advised to check here regularly.
